eZono 5000
Portable ultrasound system for interventional applications.
eZono
Portable ultrasound for interventional clinical practice
The eZono 5000 from German manufacturer eZono AG combines high-resolution imaging, eZGuide™ needle navigation and integrated Cue Cards education. It is designed for ultrasound-guided procedures, regional anaesthesia, vascular access and applications in the perioperative environment.
The modern RF processing platform, digital transducers and automatic image optimisation support everyday workflow. A 15.6″ main LCD monitor works alongside a separate 8″ touch control panel for easy access to functions.

Real-time needle navigation
eZGuide™ displays the needle tip position and orientation relative to the ultrasound image. Colour-coded guides help the operator align the needle and plan a path towards the selected anatomical target.
Free Plane navigation provides information both inside and outside the imaging plane, extending approach options beyond simple enhancement of needle echogenicity.
- Needle tip position and orientation tracking.
- Visual guidance for approach planning.
- Compatible needles according to the manufacturer’s qualified needle list.
- eZono 5000 requires the X6-16L NGS transducer and the specified preparation and calibration for the selected needle.

Education alongside the live image
Cue Cards are integrated interactive training protocols with step-by-step instructions, anatomical illustrations, videos and ultrasound reference images. Educational material is displayed alongside the live ultrasound image.
They support learning in regional anaesthesia, vascular access and other ultrasound-guided procedures, depending on the installed protocols.
Advanced image quality
The RF platform combines with processing techniques to improve contrast and display tissue detail. Available functions vary by transducer and configuration.
X6-16L NGS transducer
A high-resolution broadband linear transducer with integrated eZGuide navigation for eZono 5000.
- Frequency range: 6.5–18 MHz.
- Applications in nerves, vascular imaging, small parts and musculoskeletal imaging.
- 2D, Harmonic, Color, PW and Power Doppler.
- A specialised choice for ultrasound-guided procedures.
The transducer family also includes the 10–23 MHz high-frequency X10-23L, together with curved, phased array and hockey stick options.

Simple Touch — intuitive workflow
The Simple Touch approach organises functions around the selected procedure. Fast start-up, clinical presets and easy adjustments from the touch panel help users begin scanning and adapt imaging parameters to the examination.
